Top 10 courses in MyCPD during May

OCT, dry eye disease, and the ageing retina are among the top courses on Specsavers MyCPD Portal in the past month.

The MyCPD portal is Specsavers’ virtual hub for optometrists that hosts live tracking of CPD points or credits and is home to a wide range of professional development resources and training.

Currently, there are more than 30 CPD courses on the portal, offering 52 self-accredited CPD points for Australian optometrists and 12.6 credits for New Zealand optometrists. More than 500 optometrists have already accessed the MyCPD portal since it launched in February.

The top 10 courses in May included:

  • Essentials of OCT
  • Dry Eyes – Causes and treatments
  • The Ageing Retina
  • Recurrent Herpetic Eye Disease
  • OCT & Glaucoma: Case studies
  • Diabetic eyecare: New medical treatments for macular oedema
  • Prudent Referrals with OCT

In addition to CPD-accredited courses, the MyCPD Portal also houses links and resources for more than 400 resources and CPD training programs from recognised institutions including NZODOB, MiVision, ACO, Centre for Eye Health and BHV Education.

With the Optometry Board of Australia’s new CPD requirements coming into effect from December 1, MyCPD is the perfect place to ensure all your CPD requirements are up to date and to access any further accreditation that you require.

You can access the MyCPD portal through the tab at the top of this website or by clicking here.
