Specsavers to launch new tool to help optometrists manage their CPD

Specsavers is taking a new approach to managing CPD and professional accreditation with its MyCPD portal, which is due to launch in mid-February.

MyCPD will be a virtual hub for optometrists that will provide 24/7 access for optometrists to record and track their CPD points and provide a large repository of professional development resources.

In addition to tracking points, the portal will allow optometrists to print certificates of completion and CPD summaries at the flick of a button.

The portal will also provide news alerts and information on upcoming events and new resources.

The MyCPD portal will be integrated with Specsavers online professional journal ProFile, allowing optometrists to access and view the portal on the go.

The MyCPD portal will launch on February 17.
