SCC Online Fringe Talk series launches today

A much-loved part of SCC each year are the Fringe Talks. Featuring key movers and shakers in the industry, Fringe Talks give a new perspective on our care for patients and what we could be doing to help them achieve better health outcomes.

This year, Fringe Talks will be CPD accredited and released direct to the on-demand section of SCC Online, meaning they will be available at any point to view from Spectrum or MyCPD Portal.

A new talk will be released each fortnight, with the first being released this today: The Role of the Macular Disease Foundation Australia, presented by Sabine Ostrowski.

With more Fringe Talks and speakers to be announced in due course, the first line-up of speakers include:

 Professor Greg Johnson
Diabetes Australia
Dr Ben Ashby
Specsavers Director of Optometry ANZ
Annie Gibbins
Glaucoma Australia
Dr Fabrizio D’Esposito
The Fred Hollows Foundation
Nabill Jacob
Vision Australia
Sabine Ostrowski
Macular Disease Foundation Australia

Fringe talks are eligible for both Australian CPD Points and New Zealand CD and General Points.

External optometrists can access Fringe Talks and all our other exclusive SCC Online Series content  here and Specsavers optometrists can access all the content via their MyCPD Portal.

A range of on-demand video and articles, covering topics including dry eye and contact lens innovation will also form part of our August line-up.
