The MyCPD portal is Specsavers virtual hub for optometrists, that hosts live tracking of CPD points or credits and is home to a wide range of professional development resources and training.
Accessing the hub is easy. You can click on the MyCPD portal tab above on the Profile website, or you can access it here. To log in to the portal you need your APHRA or ODOB number and your EPOS number.
To help make it even easier for you to log in, we’ve created this easy guide.
Follow the steps below and you’ll have access to more than 25 CPD credited courses in no time.
Logging in for the first time
If you are a Specsavers optometrist, you will have already received your log in information. If you haven’t received it, check your personal email or junk folders.
If you have received a registration email, click on the link in the email to log into the Portal. Use the username and password provided in the email to log in. You can simply copy and paste the information from your email into the log-in box.
Once you’ve clicked log in, you will be requested to enter a security code, do not close this page until the code has been received to your inbox. If you close the page, the code will be deemed invalid.
A device verification email will be sent to your inbox. Make sure you check your junk/spam folders if you don’t receive it. Once you do receive it, Copy the number from the email into the portal and click submit.
If you are a new user accessing the portal through Profile, click on the sign-up button on the bottom of the screen.
You’ll need to enter all compulsory fields marked with an asterisk.
Your username is your unique identifier. For Australian optometrists this must be your AHPRA number, for New Zealanders it will be your ODOB number.
You’ll also need to include your EPOS number to log in. This is the main store ID 4-digit number. If you work across multiple stores, enter the number of the main store where you work.
If you don’t know your EPOS number, simply enter 0000 into this field.
Then, once all your details have been entered, click on register to create your account.
Accessing the Portal through Profile
Once you have registered for the first time, logging in to MyCPD is simple. You can access the portal through this website, using the tab at the top of your screen.
Enter Username (AHPRA or ODOB) and password and click on log in. If you can’t recall your username or password, click on ‘Forgot Username/Password’ to reset your password.
Once you’ve logged in, your Dashboard will appear, and you can select the course or resource you’re interested in accessing.
Currently, there are 26 CPD courses on the portal, offering 52 self-accredited CPD points for Australian optometrists and 12.6 credits for New Zealand optometrists. These cover a variety of topics including Glaucoma, AMD, Diabetes, Paediatrics, Refractive Error, Contact lenses, Anterior eye, Vitreoretinal and Posterior Eye. New courses and training materials are added regularly.
The MyCPD portal also houses links and resources for more than 400 resources and CPD training programs from recognised institutions including NZODOB, MiVision, ACO, Centre for Eye Health and BHV Education.
