Graduate optometrists are invited to express their interest in relocating with a friend to a regional location in Australia or New Zealand to start their optometry career.
The Specsavers Professional Development team has launched a new ‘Go with a Friend’ initiative which offers generous financial incentives to graduate optometrists who are interested in banding together in pairs or trios to complete their graduate employment in stores clustered within the same regional area.
By relocating peers to practices in close proximity to each other, the initiative enables graduates to continue fostering the strong connections established in university throughout the foundation years of their optometry careers. This further extends the support network that will be provided to the graduates as part of the Specsavers Graduate Program as they step out of their comfort zones and explore and establish themselves in new communities.
Some of the opportunities available as part of the initiative include positions in Perth, the ACT and Tasmania; however, graduates interested in moving to specific locations with a friend are encouraged to get in touch with the Professional Development team as additional locations may be negotiable.
To apply for the initiative, email the Professional Development team on firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, the name of your friend(s) (a maximum of three optometrists can be relocated together), and the region you are interested in moving to.
A special Early Bird Incentive will be available until 31 July 2018.
