The Specsavers Clinical Conference will return to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 7 to 8 September 2019 and an Early Bird registration rate is available for a limited time.
Now in its eighth year, the Specsavers Clinical Conference (SCC8) has become one of Australia and New Zealand’s most well-attended clinical conferences. As a major clinical advancement, CPD / CD and networking event, the conference is open to both Specsavers and non-Specsavers optometrists, and a delegate count of more than 600 is anticipated again this year.
Following positive feedback on the new format introduced in 2018, SCC8 will once again include two full days of CPD / CD content. Both Saturday and Sunday will include a full-day program of clinical education sessions, with shorter, additional ‘Fringe Talks’ taking place in the exhibition during breaks – the goal being to get as close as possible to delivering a full year’s worth of CPD / CD points over the two days.
The exhibition will also be open across both days, and an ‘SCC Welcome Function’ will be hosted at the National Gallery of Victoria on the Saturday evening. In addition, the Doug Perkins Medals for clinical excellence will be awarded on the conference main stage on the Sunday.
More details, including the full speaker program, will be announced over the coming weeks.
