Case Study Submissions
Do you have an interesting case study you’d like to submit? ProFile accepts submissions from optometrists and dispensers both within and external to Specsavers.
To submit a case study for consideration, please review the requirements below and email anz.profile@specsavers.com
Please note that all case study submissions may be subject to minor edits and formatting changes in line with ProFile’s house style.
Optometry Case Studies
All optometry case studies must be accompanied by at least one relevant high-resolution image (can include OCT scans and DRP images) and be submitted in the following format to be considered:
Author name
Position title
Store name and location
Case study topic / condition name
History – including Px presentation and details of testing performed by the optometrist (please provide relevant high-resolution images)
Diagnosis – including differential diagnosis and details of management / advice given to Px as well as any follow up
Discussion – further discussion of the condition and management (specific to optometrist)
Please provide captions for all images supplied. All case study content, including images, must be de-identified.
Word count: 300-500 words, point form encouraged

Dispensing Case Studies
All dispensing case studies must be submitted in the following format to be considered:
Author name
Position title and dispensing qualification
Store name and location
Px background / order history
Concern
Solution
Learning outcomes
Please include any relevant photos, diagrams and/or tables as separate, high-resolution images with captions. All case study content, including images, must be de-identified.
Word count: 300-500 words

Clinical Imaging
All clinical imaging submissions must include one high-resolution image accompanied by the following information:
Author name
Position title
Store name and location
Condition depicted
Introduction – general information on the condition depicted
Signs and symptoms / ocular manifestation
Treatment / management
Word count: 200-300 words
